Code of Conduct Policy

This policy was last updated on 11/07/2024.

At Mental Health Monarchs, we’re committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and respectful community. Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members to ensure a positive and empowering space for everyone.

  1. Respect and Inclusivity: Treat every member with kindness, empathy, and respect. We celebrate diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Hate speech, discrimination, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.

  2. Constructive Communication: Engage in discussions thoughtfully and respectfully. Personal attacks, inflammatory comments, or aggressive behavior disrupt our supportive environment and are not allowed.

  3. Respect for Privacy and Integrity: Members must maintain their privacy. Personal stories, discussions, and shared experiences must remain within the group. Do not share someone else’s information without their explicit consent. Maintaining the privacy and trust of our community members is paramount. All participants are expected to respect others' confidentiality and protect the integrity of shared experiences. Personal stories, names, or identifying details disclosed within the group should not be shared outside the community without explicit permission. This ensures that all members feel secure in sharing their journeys without fear of exposure.

  4. Member Discretion and Personal Boundaries: We understand that each individual has different comfort levels when sharing personal information. Members are encouraged to use their discretion regarding what they choose to share and are supported in protecting their own privacy. Alias or pseudonymous names are permitted—and in some cases, recommended—when discussing particularly sensitive information or when members wish to preserve their identity. By fostering an environment where privacy and personal boundaries are respected, we create a safe and supportive space for all. Members who violate this policy by sharing private information without consent may face removal from the group to protect the community's integrity.

  5. Accountability: Be honest in your interactions and take responsibility for your actions. If conflicts arise, approach them with the goal of understanding and resolution.

  6. Appropriate Content: Share relevant, respectful content that supports the group’s focus on mental wellness and growth. Offensive, harmful, or unrelated content will be removed.

  7. Collaboration and Support: Encourage and support one another. Whether through advice, shared experiences, or listening, we are here to uplift each other in our mental health journeys.

  8. Moderation and Enforcement: Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from the community (at the discretion of Mental Health Monarchs' moderators). Serious breaches may lead to permanent exclusion.

  9. Reporting Issues: If you experience or witness behavior that violates this policy, please report it to admin@mentalhealthmonarchs.org with the subject line "Issue Report" so we can address the issue promptly and maintain a safe space for all.

By participating in the Mental Health Monarchs community, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct Policy. Let’s keep this space one where everyone feels empowered, valued, and heard.
